Our first collar and still the one we make most. Cut from a single length of vegetable-tanned hide, edge-burnished by hand, and finished with a cast brass buckle that will outlast the leather itself.

Finish — Chestnut

About Us

We make two things, and we make them properly: the collar and the lead. Every piece is cut, stitched and burnished by hand in small batches from vegetable-tanned full-grain leather, then finished with solid brass and a nameplate we engrave ourselves.

It starts firm, softens to your dog's shape, and only grows more beautiful with every walk in the park. Nothing here is made to be replaced next season.

Made by hand, meant for years.

The Difference

Why it lasts a lifetime

Full-grain leather

Vegetable-tanned hides chosen for strength and a rich patina that deepens over time.

Solid brass hardware

Cast buckles and D-rings that never rust — warm, weighty, and made to be handled daily.

Engraved nameplate

Your dog's name and your number, hand-engraved into brass — style and safety in one.

The Windsor Collar
The Windsor has become part of Bruno's identity. Two years of daily walks and it still looks better than the day it arrived.

I measured twice and still worried. It fits like it was cut for her — which, it turns out, it was.

The Onyx Collar
Third collar from them in six years. The first two are still going. I just wanted a new colour.

Run a soft tape around the base of the neck, where the collar naturally sits, and add two fingers' width of room. Note that measurement in centimetres at checkout and we cut to it. If you are between sizes we size up, because the leather firms slightly as it is burnished.

Width is about balance rather than strength — every width we make is rated well beyond what any dog can pull. As a guide: 16mm for dogs under 8kg, 20mm for 8–20kg, and 25mm for anything larger or deeper-chested.

It will soften and take your dog's shape over the first few weeks, but vegetable-tanned full-grain does not stretch out the way bonded leather does. Check the fit monthly on a growing puppy.

Very little is needed. Wipe with a barely damp cloth, let it dry away from direct heat, and work in a small amount of neutral leather balm two or three times a year. The patina that develops is the point — resist the urge to polish it away.

A rain-soaked walk or a swim will not harm it. Dry it naturally rather than on a radiator, which is what actually cracks leather. Prolonged saltwater exposure will dull the finish faster, so rinse after a beach day.

Solid brass develops a warm darker tone with handling, which most owners come to prefer. If you want the original brightness back, a soft cloth and a little brass polish restores it in a minute.
